A bit offtopic here, but I wanted to ask you who came up with the “Aventures of the Gummi Bears” background of a lost civilization and why it never became the central part of the series that it deserved to be?

I’m not sure what “lost civilization” you’re referring to. I stopped work on the series after the 2nd season, so if your question is about these later shows, I don’t know the answer. Sorry.
